Our Pony Club Morning is a great way for children to get started with horses and ponies. The sessions run year-round on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10am to 1:30pm and throughout the school holidays.
Our Pony Club Mornings consist of all aspects of looking after horses including learning how to tack up, how to groom and what to feed them. It's a hands-on morning and everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves to muck out and tidy the yard. You'll be rewarded with a riding lesson or hack, depending on the weather and numbers of riders.
We are now an accredited member of the Pony Club - an international youth organisation dedicated to promoting the sport and raising standards of horse and pony care worldwide. Members do not need to won their own pony but can earn badges and certificates while developing their skills and having fun. For more details of the Pony Club and its benefits, and to join, visit www.pcuk.org
We have a small number of riding hats available to borrow but you may want to bring your own. Our Pony Mornings are very popular and there are a limited number of places on each day. This is to ensure you get plenty of time with the ponies and sufficient riding time for each participant. Pony Mornings are fully supervised at all times.
Pony Mornings are for children of all ages but the minimum age is 4 years.
You will get dirty and smelly, so please wear comfortable, warm clothing (suitable for the weather conditions), and make sure you don't mind if the clothes end up filthy! Make sure your feet are warm and dry - a pair of wellies is fine.
Bring a light snack and a drink for break time.
Pony Morning Club costs £25 per child. Call us for availability!
All riders will need to fill in a Rider Registration Form before riding. Please print from the link and bring the completed form on your first visit.
